Bloggen kann dazu f\u00fchren, dass man (in diesem Falle bin ich damit gemeint \ud83d\ude09 !) pl\u00f6tzlich in einem anderen Land, in einem bis anhin nur aus Bildern bekannten Garten und vis-\u00e0-vis einer \u00e4usserst warmherzigen, fr\u00f6hlichen Bloggerin sitzt und plaudert, den wundersch\u00f6nen Garten und die mit kleinen „Hingucker“ liebevoll versehenen Gartenbeete bewundert und staunt, dass die ganze Szene tats\u00e4chlich Wirklichkeit ist.<\/p>\n

This may eventually happen to you too when you’re having a blog and exchanging comments: a person (in this case it is me \ud83d\ude09 !) suddenly sits and relaxes in a garden in a foreign country, face to face to a very charming and warmhearted fellow blogger. It may happen that the above mentioned person then walks around in this beautiful garden which has a lot of lovely and special plants and hidden eye-catchers. which up to now she only saw on pictures in a blog.\u00a0 And finally the person is wondering whether the whole scene is real or not. I can tell you, it was real! <\/font><\/p>\n

Bloggen kann auch dazu f\u00fchren, dass\u00a0 z.B. die Gastgeberin mir die sch\u00f6nen und originellen Maib\u00e4ume (f\u00fcr uns Schweizer in dieser Form unbekannt), die in den dortigen D\u00f6rfern oft gesehen werden k\u00f6nnen, erkl\u00e4rt.<\/p>\n

So it happened that e.g. I got explained\u00a0 all the beautiful and original maypoles (unknown for us Swiss people in this form), which one can find in the surrounding villages where the host lives. <\/font><\/p>\n

Oder, dass man gemeinsam einen Abstecher in die wundersch\u00f6ne und riesige Deko-Ausstellung einer Baumschule (Sandmann) macht,<\/p>\n

Or we had a short trip to a huge tree nursery where we also visited a beautiful exposition for decoration articles, <\/font><\/p>\n

…durch liebliche und abwechslungsreiche Landschaften f\u00e4hrt und schlussendlich auf der Fraueninsel im Chiemsee landet,<\/p>\n

…and we drove through a varied and lovely landscape and finally arrived at the „Fraueninsel“ (an island with a convent) in a lake called Chiemsee, <\/font><\/p>\n

wo die \u00fcppig bl\u00fchenden und herbstlich-bunten Klosterg\u00e4rten im Licht der untergehenden Sonne bewundert werden,<\/p>\n

where we admired the lush and colorful gardens of the convent in the sunset, <\/font><\/p>\n

und, dass man sich auch \u00fcber Kultur, Kirche, Kunst und Religion austauscht,<\/p>\n

and talked about culture, church, art and religion, <\/font><\/p>\n

….Spazierg\u00e4nge in traumhaft sch\u00f6ner Umgebung (rund um das Kloster Seeon) macht und beim Eindunkeln noch draussen am See miteinander ein feines Abendessen geniesst,<\/p>\n

…and walked in wonderful surroundigs (around the monastery Seeon) and had a delicious dinner outside near the lake at sunset. <\/font><\/p>\n

….oder an einer extra organisierten Exkursion durch den geologisch \u00e4usserst interessanten Dobelwald teilnehmen darf,<\/p>\n

I even was allowed to participate in an excursion in the „Dobelwald“, a forest which is quite interesting with regard to geology, <\/font><\/p>\n

….und im Wald viel Kleines, Unerwartetes und Spannendes entdeckt (neues Leben aus einem alten abgestorbenen Laubbaum),<\/p>\n

….and there I discovered a lot of little and unexpected details (here e.g. new life out of a dead deciduous tree), <\/font><\/p>\n

…Mystisches, Alchemie und Legenden nicht nur als blosse Worte mit Fragezeichen stehen bleiben,<\/p>\n

…words like mysticism, alchemy and legend don’t remain meaningless. <\/font><\/p>\n

….Neues lernt (Blitzschlagspuren an einer Eiche, die erfahrungsgem\u00e4ss h\u00e4ufiger als ander B\u00e4ume vom Blitz getroffen wird),<\/p>\n

I learnt a lot of new things (e.g. the traces of a lightning strike on an oaktree, as mostly oaktrees are strucked by lightning)<\/font><\/p>\n

…und immer wieder Landschafteindr\u00fccke bekommt, die einem f\u00fcr einen kurzen Augenblick gefangen halten,<\/p>\n

…and from time to time I got a short glimpse of a lovely area <\/font><\/p>\n

…oder Momente, wo sich auch – im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes – die T\u00fcren f\u00fcr den Blick auf landestypische Sch\u00f6nheiten \u00f6ffnen,<\/p>\n

and\u00a0 there were also doors which – in its true sense – opened my mind and\u00a0 eyes for the typical beauties of this region. <\/font><\/p>\n

….und man schlussendlich dankbar nicht nur viele Eindr\u00fccke und Erinnerungen an Gesehenes und gemeinsam Erlebtes, sondern auch den ganze Kofferraum gef\u00fcllt mit Pflanzenkostbarkeiten aus dem Garten der lieben und grossz\u00fcgigen Gastgeberin (und auch aus der interessanten und mit viel Herzblut gef\u00fchrten G\u00e4rtnerei Planwerk) mit heimnimmt.Vielen herzlichen Dank f\u00fcr diese unvergesslichen Tage, liebe Renate!<\/p>\n

And finally I returned home with a lot of new impressions and precious memories of\u00a0 what we have seen and done together and not to forget, with a car full of plants from the garden of the generous and dear host or bought in nurseries we visited.
