Ein M\u00e4rz Monat der auch April sein k\u00f6nnte…vom launischen Wetter her. Oder doch vielmehr Februar, weil oft Schneeflocken vom Himmel fielen? Nun, es ist trotzdem Fr\u00fchling und jeder Gartenrundgang wird momentan zu einer spannende Entdeckungsreise. Bienen und Hummeln tummeln sich auf und in den Bl\u00fcten und die Schnecken sind\u00a0 ebenfalls wieder da \ud83d\ude09 !<\/p>\n

This year, March could have been April…considering the changeable weather. Or rather February, as there were so many snowy days. Well, after all it is Spring now and every tour in my garden\u00a0 is becoming a kind of a little voyage of discovery. Bees and bumblebees are romping about the flowers and the slugs are back again too \ud83d\ude09 ! <\/span><\/p>\n

Wenn ich es richtig gelernt habe von Edith<\/a>, dann ist dies die weibliche Bl\u00fcte des\u00a0 Haselstrauches.<\/p>\n

I hope I’ve learnt it correct from Edith, the above picture shows a female bud of a hazel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Helleborus bl\u00fchten um die Wette. Sie trotzten dem misslichen Wetter.<\/p>\n

All the hellebores raced each other blooming and they resisted the akward weather. <\/span><\/p>\n

Meistens bl\u00fcht im M\u00e4rz auch die Forsythie. Dieses Jahr nicht, daf\u00fcr hat die Zaubernuss noch ihren Auftritt, da sie ebenfalls versp\u00e4tet ihre leicht duftenden Bl\u00fcten \u00f6ffnete.<\/p>\n

Normally in March our forsythias are blooming too. But not this year. However the light fragrant witchhazel does it in recompense for the missing yellow colour.<\/span><\/p>\n

Was\u00a0 sich wohl die Katze der Nachbarin vor unserer Haust\u00fcre\u00a0 gerade \u00fcberlegt? Ja, ich weiss, es war auch schon fr\u00fcher Fr\u00fchling…<\/p>\n

What is our neigbour’s cat thinking about right on our doorstep? Well, I know we already had Spring in earlier times…. <\/span><\/p>\n

Punkto Gartenarbeit war ich in diesem Monat nicht sehr aktiv, da ich seit l\u00e4ngerem eine Entz\u00fcndung im rechten Ellbogen habe und den Arm schonen muss. Auch das Schreiben am Computer ist nicht gerade f\u00fcr die Heilung f\u00f6rderlich und geht erst noch langsamer als sonst. Als Kompensation habe ich mich in Eva Demski’s neue Buch vertieft (Gartengeschichten<\/em>, ISBN- 978-3-458-17429-5). Eine wunderbare Alternative.<\/p>\n

I wasn’t very active this month with regard to gardening as I’ve got an inflammation in my ellbow and I should take care of my right arm.\u00a0 To write on my computer isn’t very useful either for the healing and it also takes more time as usual. As a compensation I am reading…a good alternative!<\/span><\/p>\n

Der Amberbaum (Liquidambar) bringt mich auch im Fr\u00fchling zum Staunen. Wundersch\u00f6ne kleine rote Knospen zeigt er vor dem Austrieb der Bl\u00e4tter.<\/p>\n

The Liquidambar tree is stunning in Spring too. Beautiful little red buds come out before the tree get the leaves. <\/span><\/p>\n

Und heute zeigten auch die Narzissen ihr erstes Gelb. Zusammen mit all den frischgr\u00fcnen Austrieben verschiedener Pflanzen, den Krokussen,\u00a0 Primeln,\u00a0 Anemonen u.a. bekommt der Garten langsam das so ersehnte bunte Fr\u00fchlingskleid.<\/p>\n

And what did I see today? The narcissus have opened. Together with all the fresh green plants sprouting, the blooming crocuses, primroses, anemones etc. the garden finally gets its colourful Spring dress we were so much longing for. <\/span><\/p>\n
