Die letzten Schneespuren im Garten sind am schwinden und auch das Eis im\u00a0 Teich beginnt langsam zu tauen. Endlich kann man sagen, dass er sichtbar da ist….der Fr\u00fchling \ud83d\ude42 !<\/p>\n

The few traces of snow we still had in our garden are now disappearing and the ice in the pond begins to thaw.\u00a0 Finally it is possible to say that Spring has definitely arrived in our garden \ud83d\ude42 !<\/span><\/p>\n

Ueberall stupst und stosst es. Auch wenn die Freude \u00fcber das gerade entdeckte Wiedererwachen im Garten gross ist, so sehe ich doch mit etwas gemischten Gef\u00fchlen der vielen Arbeit entgegen, die in m\u00f6glichst kurzer Zeit gemacht werden muss. Die Vegetation holt ihre Versp\u00e4tung rasch auf….ich aber bin nicht so schnell \ud83d\ude09 !<\/p>\n

Wherever I am looking at, I see tiny plants pushing and springing up. Though I am very happy about the awakening of my garden, I also have mixed feelings when facing all the work that has to be done now… and done quickly. Vegetation is usually\u00a0 catching up its delay within a short time….but I am not working so fast \ud83d\ude09 ! <\/span><\/p>\n

Die vielen verschiedenen Helleboruspflanzen haben sich wieder aufgerichtet, nachdem der Schnee sie noch bis vor kurzem zugedeckt hatte. Diese Pflanzen sind hart im Nehmen!<\/p>\n

Last week snow has\u00a0 still covered all the helleborus plants. But today they have raised again. They really are tough plants. <\/span><\/p>\n

Aber bevor es ans Aufr\u00e4umen, Abschneiden und an andere erste Gartenarbeiten geht, m\u00f6chte ich doch eine schnelle Bestandesaufnahme machen.\u00a0 Die Neugierde ist gross. Was hat den Winter \u00fcberlebt? Was muss eventuell ersetzt werden? Ich beginne an den gesch\u00fctzten Stellen unter dem Dach….damit ich schon etwas vorbereitet bin auf das was mich draussen erwarten k\u00f6nnte \ud83d\ude09 ! Drei von sechs\u00a0 Kamelien in den T\u00f6pfen zeigen Knospen oder beginnen bereits zu bl\u00fchen. Die beiden im Garten stehen mit erfrorenen Knospen da.<\/p>\n

Before starting\u00a0 with tidying up, pruning and doing all the other Spring gardening jobs, I want to make a sort of quick inventory. My curiosity is great. Which plants have survived winter? Which ones do I have to replace? I start looking at the sheltered place under the roof…in order to be somehow prepared to what I might expect in the garden \ud83d\ude09 ! Three of six camelias in pots show tiny buds or even\u00a0 start blooming. The two ones I have in the garden however have frozen, brown buds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die im Herbst gemachten Rosenstecklinge sehen vielversprechend aus. Nur hat der Wind leider die Beschriftungen fortgeweht und ich weiss nicht mehr, welche Rosen daraus werden. Der Inhalt der verschiedenen Agapanthust\u00f6pfen hingegen sieht etwas bedenklich aus. Aber hier heisst es noch abwarten. Das Gleiche gilt f\u00fcr die vielen kleinen T\u00f6pfchen mit den Hostas. „Geduld bringt Hostas“ \ud83d\ude09 !<\/p>\n

All the cuttings I made from roses in autum look quite promising.Unfortunately the wind has blown away the labellings and now I do not know what kind of roses I’ll get. On the other hand my agapanthus in pots don’t look very well. But I guess, I have to wait for a last judgment. The same is valid for all the various tiny pots with hostas. „All the things come to him who waits“ \ud83d\ude09 !

Auch die Tellerhortensien-Stecklinge scheinen zu wurzeln. Wie ich mich freue! Ich habe sie aus dem Garten meiner Schwiegermutter. Noch muss gewartet werden, bis sie an den endg\u00fcltigen Standort kommen.<\/p>\n

The cuttings I made from hydrangeas seem to have roots too. I’m so happy! I got them from the garden of my MIL. Of course I still have to wait for the final planting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Es ist un\u00fcbersehbar. Langsam kommt wieder Farbe in den Garten. Es kann losgehen mit der Gartenarbeit. \ud83d\ude42 ! Welche Ueberraschungen mich wohl dort erwarten werden?<\/p>\n

It is quite obvious. Slowly colour is coming again to my garden. It’s time to start gardening \ud83d\ude42 ! I wonder what kind of surprises I’ll find out there.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
