\"IMG_6389\"<\/a>Nein, dies sind nicht Tulpen in meinem Garten, noch war ich auf einem Tulpenfeld in Holland.<\/p>\n

No, these tulips are not growing in my garden, nor have I visited a big tulip field in the Netherlands.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"IMG_6417\"<\/a>Aber nach unserer Reise entlang der europ\u00e4ischen Route der Backsteingotik an der Ostsee, gab es auch noch einen Aufenthalt in Hamburg. Und da Frau auch im Urlaub das Thema Garten nicht ganz verdr\u00e4ngen kann, nahmen wir die Gelegenheit wahr und besuchten\u00a0 die isg 2013 (Internationale Gartenschau) die unter dem Motto\u00a0\u00a0 „In 80 G\u00e4rten um die Welt“\u00a0 steht.<\/p>\n

But after our holiday at the Baltic Sea we still had a short stay in Hamburg. And being a woman\u00a0 who never can push the topic garden to the back of my mind, I took the occasion and visited the isg 2013 (international garden show) which follows the motto\u00a0 „In 80 gardens around the world“.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"IMG_6366\"<\/a>F\u00fcr mich war es das erste Mal, dass ich eine Gartenschau in diesem grossen Rahmen besuchte (bei uns gibt so etwas nicht).\u00a0 Mir war\u00a0 klar, dass ich zu dieser Jahreszeit keine Riesenauswahl an bl\u00fchenden Pflanzen erwarten durfte. Und so war es eigentlich auch. Tulpen waren letzte Woche die Hauptprotagonisten. Aber in dieser Gartenschau geht es ja nicht nur um Bl\u00fchendes, sondern es werden in sieben verschiedenen Themenwelten eine Art Zeitreise durch die Kulturen, Klima- und Vegetationszonen gemacht und die Besucher eingeladen sich mit diesen Themen auseinanderzusetzen.<\/p>\n

It was the first time ever that I visited this kind of\u00a0 garden show (we do not have anything similar in our country). I knew that I couldn’t expect too much with regard to a huge range\u00a0 of blooming plants at this time of the year. Tulips of course were the main protagonist last week. But not only plants and flowers want to attract people but the show\u00a0 also wants the visitors\u00a0 to reflect about various subjects related to gardening and nature. There are seven different theme worlds allowing to travel through time, cultures, climates and vegetation zones.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"IMG_6369\"<\/a>Spannend war es allemal, wie diese Themen, so Welt der H\u00e4fen, Wasserwelten, Welt der Religionen, Welt der Kulturen, Welt der Kontinente, Naturwelten, Welt der Bewegung umgesetzt wurden.<\/p>\n

It was\u00a0 exciting\u00a0 indeed to discover how these themes so e.g. world of harbors, world of water, world of religions, world of cultures, world of continents, world of nature and world of movements, have been transformed.<\/em><\/p>\n

Auch wenn immer wieder die Tulpen ins Blickfeld r\u00fcckten, so konnte man doch schon ein bisschen erahnen, was nach dem Abbl\u00fchen kommen wird. Sommerstauden wie diverse Storchenschn\u00e4bel, Hellenium, viel Phlox, Astern usw. werden bestimmt wiederum bunte Akkzente in den Beeten setzen.<\/p>\n

Looking at all the various and great amounts of tulips, one could already imagine how the large gardebeds and areas will look later in summer. I discovered a lot of different geraniums, helleniums, a lot of phlox and other summer plants popping out of the soil.<\/em><\/p>\n

For a few moments I had\u00a0 „The world of religion“ with the big fountain in the center just for me alone.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"IMG_6393\"<\/a>In der Welt der Kulturen gibt es z.B. auch einen B\u00fcchertum zu Babel.<\/p>\n

In the world of cultures there is among others the book tower of Babel.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"IMG_6394\"<\/a>Und ab und zu auch ein neugieriger\u00a0 Blick in die echten und sehr gepflegten Kleingartenoasen der Anwohner. Auf dem Areal hat es nat\u00fcrlich auch einen speziellen Bereich zum Thema Kleingarten.<\/p>\n

And from time to time a little curious\u00a0 and worthy glimpse at real, nice and neat\u00a0 garden plots. The garden show of course has a special area for the subject „allotments“ too.<\/em><\/p>\n
