Zwischen den Steinplatten auf der Terrasse muss wieder einmal gej\u00e4tet werden. Mit dem Messer bewaffnet gehe ich an die Arbeit.<\/p>\n

There is a lot of weeds between all the paving tiles on our terrace. Armed with a knife, I start this job which I do not like at all.. <\/font><\/p>\n

Halt! Das sind ja keine Ackerwinden, sondern versamte Verbena bonariensis<\/em>. Ich lasse sie stehen. Frau weiss ja nie wie kalt der Winter wird und hier sind sie ja doch etwas gesch\u00fctzt….im Gegensatz zu denjenigen im Garten.<\/p>\n

But stop! Here we don’t have field bindweeds, but seeded verbena bonariensis<\/em>. I leave them. One never knows how cold the winter is going to be. Here, these little plants are sheltered a bit ….. unlike the ones in the garden.<\/font><\/p>\n

Einen Schritt weiter entdecke ich ein kleines L\u00f6wenm\u00e4ulchen. Woher es wohl kommt? Ich habe schon seit Jahren keine mehr im Garten.<\/p>\n

One more step and I discover a little. snapdragon. Where does it come from? For years already I don’t have them in my garden anymore. <\/font><\/p>\n

Und was sehe ich da? Kleine Primelpfl\u00e4nzchen. Wunderbar! Vielleicht bl\u00fchen sie im Fr\u00fchling und wenn nicht, kann ich sie ja immer noch verpflanzen.<\/p>\n

And what is here? Very little primroses<\/em>. Wonderful! Perhaps they will already bloom next Spring. If not, I can plant them in a flowerbed. <\/font><\/p>\n

Ach ja, eine solche K\u00f6nigskerze ist mir vor Jahren auch schon mal zugeflogen. Ganz in der N\u00e4he stand sie. Wir mussten jeweils in einem richtigen Bogen um sie herum gehen, weil sie so riesig war.<\/p>\n

Well, such a verbascum<\/em> I already had some years ago. At that time the wind or a bird brought the seed. It grew not far away from today’s place. We always had to circle around, as the plant was so huge. <\/font><\/p>\n

Kaum zu glauben, nun schaut eine kleine bl\u00fchende Erigeron karvinskianus<\/em> aus der Ritze. Ich hatte mal einen Topf auf der anderen Seite des Hauses stehen. Wie der Samen wohl hierhergefunden hat? Auf jeden Fall bleibt das kleine Pfl\u00e4nzchen stehen, denn ich liebe dieses zarte Bl\u00fcmchen.<\/p>\n

Unbelievable. I find a blooming erigeron karvinskianus<\/em> looking out of the crack. Once, I had a pot of them on the other side of the house. It is always a little miracle how the seeds get from one place to another. In any case, this little flower will stay here, as I like its daintiness. <\/font><\/p>\n

Ja, genau dich, L\u00f6wenzahn, wollte ich ausreissen und deine Geschwister auch, die doch ab und zu die Plattenritzen „versch\u00f6nern“. Auf der Terrasse ist jetzt nichts mehr zu tun. Wir gehen nun auf den Mergelplatz beim Rosenpavillon. Dort sieht es im Moment eher aus wie auf einer gr\u00fcne Wiese…..von weitem gesehen.<\/p>\n

Exactly! I wanted to get rid of this dandelion and its neighbours, „decorating“ from time to time our paving tiles. Well, the work here is finished and I can continue on the marl place around the gazebo. There it actually looks like a green meadow…..from far.

Zwischen den kleinen Steinchen w\u00e4chst jede Menge roter Klee, L\u00f6wenzahn…. und was sehe ich da? Auch ein kleiner Hibiskus hat sich hierher verirrt. Wahrscheinlich wird es ein weisser sein, denn der grosse Strauch ist ca. 6m entfernt, hinter einigen Rosenstr\u00e4uchern und ein paar B\u00fcschen versteckt. Ich lass ihn mal stehen, vielleicht findet sich ja ein Abnehmer.<\/p>\n

Among the little stones a lot of red clovers and dandelions are growing and…..what do I see? A little hibiscus has got lost to this place. Probably it will turn out to be a white shrub, as the mother plant is about 6m away, hidden behind some roses and other shrubs. I don’t pull it out, perhaps I’ll find another gardener who would like to have it.<\/font><\/p>\n

Dass sich die Frauenm\u00e4ntel (Alchemilla mollis<\/em>) versamen weiss ich. Aber in dieser Menge? Unter dem Pavillon ist es richtig gr\u00fcn (das zeigt leider auch wie fleissig ich dort j\u00e4te \ud83d\ude09 !).<\/p>\n

I knew from the beginning that ladies mantle (alchemilla mollis<\/em>) is seeding. But so much? Well, beneath the gazebo, the ground ist really green (a proof of how often I am weeding \ud83d\ude09 !).<\/font><\/p>\n

Letztes Jahr gab es in der N\u00e4he Bartnelken. Die wollen partout im Garten bleiben. Also lasse ich sie.<\/p>\n

Last year there were some dianthus growing in the bed. They stick to the garden and so they can stay where they are. <\/font><\/p>\n

Und da finde ich doch tats\u00e4chlich noch eine Linaria<\/em>. Diese filigrane Wildpflanze habe ich bei einer Gartenbesichtigung gesehen und sie dann auf einem Pflanzenrarit\u00e4tenmarkt im gleichen Jahr gekauft. Sie hat sich schon an einigen Orten im Garten angesiedelt….zu meiner Freude. Aber eigentlich geh\u00f6rten sie jetzt in ein Gartenbeet.<\/p>\n

And here I still find a linaria. <\/em>This filigree wild plant I discovered when visiting a garden once. I could buy it then on a special plantmarket. The plant settled well in my garden and I like it. But, in fact, I should plant it into the border now.<\/font><\/p>\n

In einer anderen Ecke des Platzes sehe ich dieses geranien\u00e4hnliche Pfl\u00e4nzchen. Bin neugierig ob es tats\u00e4chlich ein Geranium ist und welcher. Es bleibt stehen….sozusagen Feldforschung!!<\/p>\n

I<\/font>n another corner I see this tiny plant looking like a geranium. But at the moment I don’t know what kind of geranium it is and what colour it will have. I let it….in a manner of speaking it is field research!<\/font><\/p>\n

Die Veronica spicata<\/em> vermehrt sich fleissig, aber das wusste ich anfangs nicht. Ich kaufte verschiedene Pflanzen und bin jetzt dementsprechend mit Nachwuchs gesegnet.<\/p>\n

I didn’t know in the beginning that veronica spicata<\/em> is seeding so much. I then bought various plants and so now I am blessed with offspring. <\/font><\/p>\n

Der Mergelplatz ist bei weitem noch nicht gej\u00e4tet und er wird schlussendlich immer einen Hauch gr\u00fcn beibehalten. Ich kann doch nicht all die kleinen Kostbarkeiten (es sind deren noch viel mehr!) einfach ausreissen.<\/p>\n

The marl place is not clean at all, and I know it will never be. There will always be a green touch on it, as I do not dare to pull out all these little free treasures (there are far more than I mentioned here).<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
