Ein milder Monat geht zu Ende, der uns zwar viele eisig kalte N\u00e4chte brachte…<\/p>\n

A rather mild month is ending now. Nevertheless, we had some very frosty nights…. <\/span><\/p>\n

und den ersten Blumenbl\u00fcten ein frostiges Kleid verpasste.<\/p>\n

which wrapped the first flowerbuds in an icy dress.<\/span><\/p>\n

Es gab keinen Schnee, aber daf\u00fcr die ersten Schneegl\u00f6cklein.<\/p>\n

We didn’t have real snow, but the first snowdrops blooming. <\/span><\/p>\n

Eine meiner Lieblingspflanzen begann zu bl\u00fchen, die Helleborus.<\/p>\n

One of my favourite plants began to bloom, the helleborus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meine „Sammlung“ vergr\u00f6sserte sich mit gef\u00fcllten Sorten.<\/p>\n

And my „collection“ grew with some double sorts. <\/span><\/p>\n

Neu entstandene „Zufallszeichnungen“ erbl\u00fchten und wurden freudig begr\u00fcsst.<\/p>\n

New plants, growing by chance from seeds, started to bloom and were warmly welcomed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viola cornuta<\/em> trotzt allen Wetterlagen und bl\u00fcht seit Ende September ununterbrochen.<\/p>\n

Viola cornuta<\/em> resists the changing weather and temperatures and is blooming since end of Semptember.<\/span><\/p>\n

Auch der Winterling (Eranthis hyemalis<\/em>) \u00f6ffnete sich….<\/p>\n

And suddenly also<\/span> Eranthis hyemalis<\/span><\/em> came out of the soil…. <\/span><\/p>\n

und die ersten Bienen wurden bei milden Temperaturen f\u00fcndig.<\/p>\n

and the first bees found what they were looking for.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die ersten winzigen Bl\u00fcten des Amberbaumes (Liquidambar<\/em>) werden wahrgenommen…..<\/p>\n

I have seen the first tiny blooms of the Liquidambar<\/em> tree.

und ebenso winzige kleine Besucher auf einem verwelkten Hostablatt.<\/p>\n

as well as this little visitor on a faded hosta leaf. <\/span><\/p>\n

Insgeheim versp\u00fcrte nicht nur diese steinerne Lady so etwas wie Fr\u00fchlingsgef\u00fchle.<\/p>\n

I guess, it wasn’t only this stone lady that felt Spring was coming… <\/span><\/p>\n

Krokusse sind doch typische Fr\u00fchjahrsboten?<\/p>\n

Crocuses are typical harbingers of Spring, aren’t they?<\/span><\/p>\n

Die ersten Kamelien, die gesch\u00fctzt an der Hauswand unter dem Dach stehen, \u00f6ffneten sich.<\/p>\n

The first camelias are blooming now. They have a sheltered place near the house, under the roof. <\/span><\/p>\n

Und ich habe in den mehrheitlich verregneten Portugalferien entdeckt, dass der Strand nicht nur h\u00fcbsche Muscheln zu bieten hat.<\/p>\n
